Happy Kid at Disneyland (1st part of my HK-Macau trip)
The Hongkong-Macau trip last March was very special for me because it was my first time to travel outside the Philippines. I was there with my mom and she gave this trip as a birthday present (we even have same birthdays!). Also, I was really amazed of how Hongkong have managed their transportation system and how they were able to make their place tourist- friendly. I would really want to relive that moment again (except the journey in NAIA 3..so stressful!).
The first part of my journey was RESEARCH. This is important so that you can already determine which places you really want to visit, the expected travel time, how much would it cost and other things needed. Upon arrival at HK International airport, grab a map! This is free and this is very useful in navigating--this would show the bus stops and the MTR system. Furthermore, get an octopus card at the airport. This card can be used in almost all transportation systems in HK and also in some convenience stores. You can buy the card for 150 HKD, 100 of which can be utilized (and can be reloaded) while the 50HKD will be refunded upon return of the card to any octopus card counters.
Even though I'm already an adult, it was still part of my dreams to go to Disneyland. Hence, this was the first part of my trip. The MTR has a special line to Hongkong Disneyland--the interior of the "case" already exudes the Disneyland vibe.

Of course we would not dare miss the "Disney in the Stars" Fireworks
The cost of the Disneyland ticket is around P 2,500- P3,000 (depending on the exchange rate). It would really be better if you spend one whole day in Disneyland to maximize all the attractions in the park (though I think one day is still not sufficient). After that long day, we went home and prepared for our next trip.
