DIY Ombre Nails

Because I got great feedback from my friends, family and colleague on my ombre nails, I decided to post how to do this awesome yet simple technique in putting nail polish.

Hope you  will like it!

Well, first, prepare the necessary materials: 1. Tools for cleaning your nails (pusher, nail clipper, nail file, cuticle sanitizer, etc.), 2. white nail polish, 3. three (3) colors of nail polish and 4. foam (you can purchase it in any department store- the one you used for pressed powders).

I'll skip the part and how to clean your nails as this is very basic.

After cleaning your nails, put a white nail polish on your nails and allow it to dry for about 10-15 minutes. The white nail polish will serve as your base as this will also help you get that perfect finish.

When your nails are already dry, prepare the three colors you would want to blend. Be imaginative and try to experiment. I chose pink, yellow green and blue.

Initially, I indicated that one of the materials to prepare is a foam. Since the size of the foam you would most likely purchase is normally huge, cut the foam...size should be more or less enough to fit your nails.

After you have cut the foam,  start painting the flat or plane portion of the foam with your desired nail polishes. Place the first color of choice, followed by the second  then the third one. It would most likely look like a ladder.

Once you have placed all three colors of nail polish, pat the painted portion on your nails for about 2-3 times or until the white base can no longer be seen.

Repeat the painting of the foam and patting of your nails until you have finished placing colors to all of your nails. Do not be afraid if your hands will get messy as this is pretty normal when doing this technique.

After you have finished placing color on your nails, clean the sides of your nails with acetone and cotton buds. Finally, to put that shine finish, place a colorless nail polish on top .

And that's it! you're done!
