My 2014 Travel Memories

More than one year has passed since the last time I posted something in my blog and I really miss it. It's quite disappointing because there were a lot of things that had happened (a lot of things discovered and tried) yet I failed to write something about it during the time that I was really pumped up to that certain moment :(

But this 2015, part of my goals is to revive Lilay's nook--- make time for it even if there are many things on my plate. So here goes my first entry for this year...

My 2014 Travel Memories

Fan girl mode ON

Last May 2014,  2ne1 had a concert dubbed as All or Nothing Concert. It was my first time seeing 2ne1 in flesh and also, it was the first concert I have attended. I am really a fan of this girl group that when the ticket line was opened, me and my friends were the first one who bought tickets for the concert (we bought the lower box tickets). I can still reminisce the nostalgia upon seeing them, upon hearing yourself and your fellow black jacks singing with them...It was one of the most memorable moments of my life.

Fear factor

I have really challenged my fear of heights this 2014...from the canopy walk followed by free fall and giant slides at Maxima and the scary rides at EK.

Learning and Sharing

I am just happy that we were able to share a fun day with the kids at Rizal Central Elementary School, Kapatagan. We conducted a one-day football clinic to students who are interested in trying the sport and to those who had already started playing it. The morning session was dedicated to drills while in the afternoon, a mini-tournie was conducted. It is really nice to see their smiles and their enthusiasm to the sport---I do hope that we could still organize this activity (together with my team and other organizations willing to help) this 2015 and make a proposal that will continue the learning of these kids.

Road and sea trip

The Bacolod-Dumaguete-Siquijor trip....it was one of the exhausting and the same time relaxing trip I have. Exhausting mainly because of the long bus hour ride and dizzy fast boat but still relaxing, because I'm traveling with my dear friends (naks!).

Bacolod is a must-see place because  of the old houses, museums and other infrastructures they were able to preserve. I have a thing for linear perspectives and the place really feeds that certain craze of mine :)

Apart from that, Bacolod is also a home of delectable and sumptuous pastries and cuisine.

And our food trip extended up to Dumaguete. Because of the limited time, we have just explored Siliman University and the different food options along and near the Rizal Boulevard. An extra on our visit at Siliman University is that it happens to be their Founder's Day; there were a lot of amusements inside and you could really feel the festivity vibe.

Though I do hope that I can still go back in Dumaguete to visit the different falls and of course, Apo Reef.

Lastly, we went to Siquijor. The place is serene and the sea is so clean you just wanna jump at the harbor the moment you step at their port----it's true! the cleanest I have ever seen. Also, the people are kind and you could really not see nor feel a tinge of that scary atmosphere (which they are known for). It's really a great place to  unwind!
