And I'm in Boracay (day 2)

For our second day in Boracay, we woke up early and prepared for our 5:00am island hopping schedule.

We had a tour from station 3 to station 1 via pump boat. We didn’t get the chance to go to the other side because the waves were quite not on our side (we don’t want to risk it anyway- not now). The rent for the boat is 1300 (if I remember it correctly, this was good for 3 hours). Some amazing information obtained from this activity- we get to see Manny Pacquiao and Gretchen Barretto’s haven in Boracay (mansion galore).

We did some snorkeling in two sites (if only we got a waterproof camera). The first site (in Station 1), has amazing structures compared to the second site. There is a lot of variety in terms of color and sizes of fish in this site though most of the corals on that site are dead. The waves are quite strong on this side of the sea.

At the second site (Station 3), the water is more still and the color is limited to brown and black..brown for the corals and black for the sea urchins. It was a bit scary and exciting at the same time to see the sea urchins just a few meters away from me. They were a lot!!!

Also, if you want to drink buko juice, better purchase it in the sea than on land. We got our buko juice for 30 from a man manually paddling his Bangka near our boat; when we inquired along the shores of Boracay, it’s already 50.

After the island hopping, our next stop was the helmet diving site- price is 700/head. I don’t think you could find another that is cheaper because they have already established an association or something making them also establish their price rate.

Yeah, my face looks stressed because I was a bit surprised with the pressure in my ear and the pressure of the diver (strong lang masyado si kuya sa pag-push sa amin pababa, haha) when we went down from the stairs. I felt ok though after I finally stepped at the bottom part.

They gave us food for the fish and we started feeding them. The diver also did some few tricks. I was just quite disappointed with the pictures though because some of the pictures we got have bubbles on them (mostly it was on our face…kamusta naman).

After which, we went on some parasailing-this is 450 per person (super discounted…thanks kuya lanito)! When you are on the top, the feeling was really splendid and a bit nauseating at the same time (Note: not for people with a weak heart and a weak stomach, haha two of my friends vomited while on air). You could see the whole island and it’s like you’re flying like a bird. The view is a picturesque and would really make you relax…except when the wind changes direction J

I would really recommend this activity!!! five star!!!

Our last stop before heading back to the shore is the flyfish (450/head).

this is me and raki calming our friends after their pyrotechnics exhibition
The flyfish is an activity wherein this huge rectangular structure is attached to a speed boat and all you have to do is hold to that one handle. Before we started, me and my friends agreed that no one should fall or else the one who had fallen shall treat us dinner.
all smiles and ready
When we started riding the flyfish, it was like your life depends on your hands. We handled the first round well but the second one, wherein there were a lot of 90 degree angles happening; we had a lot of bloopers but good thing none of us fall. We had conquered the flyfish!!!

after the flyfish 1st round

after the fly fish 2nd round

After the rush from those activities, we took a swim and chilled at Golden Phoenix (there watermelon shake is good but a bit pricy).

And of course, we didn’t forget to take a group jumpshot.

And our havs…

It was already past 1pm when we have felt that we are hungry. We ate lunch and decided to take a powernap to ready ourselves for the night life ahead. Since we are leaving Boracay the next day, we purchased our pasalubong that night before heading to dinner. Tip: Buy your pasalubong at D’ Talipapa because the price is cheaper and they also have some good stuffs there.

We had dinner at the Hobbit house. They do have some nice food there and one of the highlights of their store is their waiters are vertically-challenged individuals. I think this is a cool gimik and at the same time a noble idea for the owner…giving them jobs.

And what better way to end our night in Boracay than to parteh!!!

Our pick for the night…Summer Place. The party is really good out here!  Also, when you are at the dance floor it feels like you’re not here in the Philippines. There were a lot of foreigners partying and chilling there.

And speaking of foreigners, the only thing that was disappointing about the place is the waiters are racist. Like we could pay you know!! Most of the time they took us for granted but when it comes to foreigners they were oh so kind and entertaining. Good thing, there was this one waiter…the one in-charge in serving shisha, he was the only one different..too bad I didn’t get his name. To that guy, many thanks for rescuing us for a supposed-to-be pissed-off night.

I forgot that the 2am ban is only implemented in Davao, we lost track in time and we went home around 3 am (still, the party inside is full-packed). And it’s a good nytiemorning for us…
